DIY Turtle Shell Voodoo Wind Chimes

For this DIY guide ill show you what i used to make a cool looking Turtle Shell Voodoo Wind Chimes

I found this shell outside my house,it looked like some wild dogs killed it .(Over a period of weeks i let the rest of the turtle naturally rot away before doing this process)below is a list of things you will need

 All the items are easy to find around the house.And this project is 100% made of all natural materials.

Items Needed
---------------

Real Turtle Shell
Turtle bone - or any other bones you find
Twigs & Branches
MOD PODGE
Jute String/or twine
Dish Soap
Cup / Bow
Water
Feathersl
Tooth Brush
Cloth or Towel
Paint Brush

Step 1- Get a Bowl or decent sized cup and fill it with hot water,and add a good amount of Dish Soap in it

Step 2 - Get a Toothbrush and thoroughly scrub,and clean the the inside and outside of the turtle shell (Scrubbing off all the dirt and and grime left from the corrosion process)

Step 3 - Once Fully cleaned, dry off the shell with a Cloth or Towel

Step 4 - After the Turtle Shell is dry ,get Mod PODGE and coat the turtle shell inside and out using a paint brush (2 or 3 coats seems to be perfect for this, and remember to let it dry between coats)

Step 5 - while you are letting the shell to dry , begin to Mod Podge the Twigs & Branches using a Paint Brush,and let them dry for 20 min or so ( MOD PODGE drys fast )

Step 6 - When all Branches and twigs are dry, get some Bones,Feathers and Jute String, or twine and tie, and wrap the feather around the Twigs and branches.Maker sure to tie the end of the twine so that it does not unravel.Do this for the Bones on the opposite end of the Branch
(do this to as many branches as you like)

Step 7 - Get one of the branches and tie it to one of the open end of the Turtle Shell , making sure that the branch is tied into place. (as seen in pic below )

Step 8 - Once the branch is tied into place , Cut short lengths of Jute String or twine, and Tie each string to the end of the branch, to however many branches you have

Step 9 - Get the branches that you have strung up and bring the String or twine through the Turtle Shell, and Tie each string to the Branch that was tied into place on the turtle shell.

Step 10 - Once all the branches are tied into place , get one more piece of Jute String or twine , and Tie that to the main branch on the turtle shell on eiather side of the branch . do this to give you a rope to hang it anywhere .

ALL DONE!!!! now you have a little bit of cool decor that is a awesome conversation piece for your home
easy to make and all natural .
